Sunday
14 NovLest we forget
In Flanders Fields, the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row.
People around the country will be pausing, again today, for Remembrance Sunday, to remember the end of World War One which ended, at 11am on the 11th day of the 11th month, in 1918. Today, the two minute silence will help us to remember the fallen from WW1, all wars since then and all our serving service men and women. GFM learners and staff paused on Thursday at 11am which was the 11th day of the 11th month. We think about our own service community and recognise that many GFM learners will be attending remembrance services and parades, in uniform, in our local area. Today, we bow our heads again.
