Careers Education

Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) forms an essential part of student life across the schools in the Gosport and Fareham Multi Academy Trust. The aim of our Careers education programme is to broaden horizons and to develop the skills and attitudes to enable all students to make effective and informed decisions about their future education, training and employment pathways.

All of our students have access to a planned and progressive programme alongside tailored support, enabling them to develop and apply the knowledge, understanding and skills necessary to make realistic career decisions for the modern world.

We are proud to be working towards fully achieving the Quality in Careers Standard. Our programme is based around the Gatsby Benchmarks, a nationally recognised framework of best practice for Careers education, and delivered through a combination of Careers-focused days, assemblies and presentations, tutor time sessions, mentoring, curriculum-based learning, workplace visits, 1:1 guidance and events. We welcome guest speakers from local and national employers, education and training providers, to raise awareness of all routes to employment and to highlight the advances in apprenticeships, technical and vocational pathways to all our learners from Year 7 to 13.
