Within the GFM we are experienced at hosting secondary teacher trainees. We have long standing Partnership agreements with several local universities; the University of Chichester, the University of Portsmouth and the University of Southampton.
These programmes prepare trainees to teach the 11-16 age range. The programme will support trainees in achieving Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Trainees will also gain their Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).
The Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) training year consists of two more equally shared placements in two secondary schools, usually the first placement starts from September until December and the second from January until July.
