Hampshire County Council manages main round admissions (for year 2 pupils joining year 3 and year 6 pupils joining year 7).
In year applications for all GFM schools are processed from a central office based at Bay House School.

Appeals for transfer to Gomer Junior School – Year 3
Year 7 in September 2018
Appeals for transfer to Bay House or Brune Park Schools – Year 7
- Notification date for on-time applicants:
Thursday 01 March 2018
- Deadline date for parents wishing to lodge an appeal (returning completed appeal papers to the school):
Thursday 29 March 2018
- Year 7 appeal hearings to be held:
Tuesday 12 and Wednesday 13 June 2018
- Decision letters to be sent:
Within 5 school days of hearing
(i) Appeals lodged after 29 March 2018 will be heard on the above date if possible, or within 30 school days of the appeal being lodged.
(ii) For late applications, appeals will be heard within 40 school days from the deadline of lodging the appeals (where possible) or within 30 school days of the appeal being lodged.
(iii) Appellants will receive at least 10 school days’ notice of the location of their appeal hearing.
(iv) Following the lodging of an appeal, additional papers may be submitted to Miss J Hathaway, GFM Admissions Officer – based at Bay House School no later than 14 working days before the hearing. Evidence submitted after this date may not be considered.
