Science Teacher with opportunity of TLR

We don’t need to ask if you have a genuine interest in Science or a desire to make a difference to the lives of young minds. We are just excited for you to bring your passion both for science and for relaying your knowledge to young people, instilling in them the same excitement for the subject. This is an excellent opportunity to put your teaching skills into practice by bringing science to life for a new generation.

Science is a vast subject covering lots of different concepts and theories which can be hard for many pupils to learn and understand. It is important in many aspects of life and work and all of us strive to give pupils a good grounding in the subject, including the ability to question, the skills to conduct experiments and the understanding to evaluate results. Teaching Science needs a hands-on approach, with practical experiments and demonstrations, bringing science to life in the classroom. Working with pupils who will have their own ideas and attitudes can make the role challenging, but also provides a sense of achievement as their scientific knowledge and ability grow.

Teaching & Learning Responsibility Opportunity

For the right candidate, there is the opportunity of a TLR. This would to work alongside our already established subject leaders, leading on areas of teaching & learning, curriculum and assessment, progress and data.

There is also potential for teaching KS5 for candidates with proven experience of teaching A Level.

Applications welcome from both experienced and ECT colleagues starting your teaching journey
