If you are looking for an opportunity to grow, inspire and develop, this may be the role for you. We are keen for you to bring your own style of teaching to make a mark on students’ learning. You will join a friendly and supportive team, which strives to ensure that all students enjoy their learning and surpass expectations of achievement.
Health and Social Care is a popular subject at both GCSE and A level providing the opportunity to share best practice in the subject; there may be an opportunity for A-Level teaching. You will receive brilliant continuing professional development to master your craft and become an outstanding practitioner, with our small but friendly and dedicated team ready to share curriculum content and subject knowledge. All staff are required to work flexibly and in a way that encourages a positive work environment that is solution focused and proactive for all.
You will have a passion for learning and teaching, together with the skills to inspire and motivate our students. You will have the ability to teach Health and Social Care at GCSE, delivering and adapting high quality lessons, carefully and thoughtfully put together by the HSC team, to enable students to develop the skills, understanding and knowledge needed to become engaged, empathetic and informed practitioners in the classroom. We currently follow the OCR specification.
We are keen to receive applications from candidates that are subject specialists and have experience. However, we are also keen to hear from candidates who have passion and enthusiasm, and a willingness to contribute to the continuing development of the department. The ability to also offer Psychology, Criminology, Religious Studies, or Sociology would be an advantage but is not essential.
This is an excellent opportunity for a new or experienced teacher looking to make a difference to the lives of young people. If you are someone who has the ability to engage and enthuse students, coupled with drive and commitment, then we would like to hear from you.
If you would like to find out more about this exciting opportunity informally in the first instance, please contact recruitment@gfmat.org or call 02392 616012 to arrange.
