Salary range: £39,571 - £48,727 FTE (example pro rata salary on 42 weeks starting on £39,571 = £36,770 pa)

We seek applications from currently practising Associate or Assistant Educational Psychologists.

The GFM aims to become the ‘champion’ and facilitator for high quality, strategic intervention, support and guidance for the children and families of Gosport and Fareham. Our emerging service model has always been an ambition and core to the formation of the GFM, we want to provide a sustainable service that is dynamic, adaptive and responsive to local needs. We know that by supporting our children and families beyond the day to day operations of the school, we would enhance local well-being and capacity to support need holistically. Establishing professional services that bring together the public and private sectors will enable new economies of scale and affordability for all.

 

You will be joining a positive and welcoming culture where there is a focus on early intervention, innovation and the use of digital technology to help assess risk, mitigate and deliver a proactive approach to meeting needs. We have extensive partnerships with independent therapists and specialists to support swift action. It is our belief that by drawing capacity from the private sector to complement the public sector we will improve capacity and responsiveness to high needs in a sustainable way.

 

It is this innovative approach to partnership working that has led us to commit to this newly created role in conjunction with Kerry Jackson Educational Psychology Services. Kerry will be providing direct supervision and support to the successful applicant, offering extensive experience across the public and private sector. GFM is offering the immediate client base, available resource and role security that a large organisation can bring, with a chance to architect a new local service model.

 

You will be working at the forefront of strategic action to impact positively on the lives of the children, young people and families of Gosport and Fareham. This is a unique opportunity to blend direct intervention with individuals with strategic influence to enable sustainable change to how Educational Psychologists can work with schools and colleges in the future.

 

If you are interested in joining us, you will need to evidence that you met the minimum requirements:

 

  • Psychology degree (or BPS equivalent) and a professional qualification in Educational Psychology (doctorate, masters or equivalent)
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council
  • Your ability to travel around the country to meet the requirements of the role
  • A commitment to personal development, co-production and child focused outcomes
