Are we connected?

On Wednesday 26 & 27 June we were delighted to host the BAE Roadshow who visited the GFM and performed their roadshow to 2000 pupils: Gomer Junior School, Enterprise Academy, Y7 and Y8 from both our secondary schools.

We were delighted that representatives from local Gosport and Portsmouth schools could join us too – some of which are working in our STEM ENTHUSE Partnership. The audience engaged with the technology that was demonstrated. This included some great demonstrations including night vision goggles, examples of how mobile phones communicate with each other and the importance of clear communication.

Supported by The Royal Air Force and the Royal Navy, the roadshow is designed to enlighten pupils about the importance of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) in all aspects of present day life, helping them see the connection between what they study in school and the day to day applications in the real world.
